1. What’s the point of the Alliance?

The point of the Battlestar Alliance is to unify all like-minded Battlestar Galactica websites and online organizations, so as to promote fandom unity and offer lines of communication between organizations and websites that have never been created before.

Another major reason is that there are many organizations and websites that don’t receive the exposure they deserve, and thus either develop only as a small, self-isolated clique or die out.

2. There are some sites and organizations that are pretty tight with one another already, so isn’t this redundant?

Absolutely not. Unfortunately, the fandom has developed, over time, its various cliques for various reasons. The goal of the Alliance is to bring these cliques back into the fold to bring awareness and further develop their unique contributions to the fandom. These contributions range from fan fiction, forums, artistry, and even documenting the series.

3. What does the Alliance do for its members?

The Alliance will help promote your online web presence through the use of our Webring Navigator.

Additionally, through the Alliance, you will be able to cross-pollinate your content to other websites in the Alliance and vice-versa.

4. What are some of the other goals of the Alliance?

One of our goals is to ensure that unique Battlestar websites don’t succumb to non-existence. Therefore, the Alliance is offering hosting of these websites, even if the webmaster has lost interest, or has gone AWOL.
